  1. Love the river... Have never seen it in the winter, looks beautiful. What do you do up there to make a living?

  2. Hi Jim, I lived two winters on the river but just started this blog in April. But I don't live on the river anymore I now live on my family farm in Illinois...I miss the river a LOT! Thanks for checking out my blog, hope you will still visit now that it is about my farm.

  5. Margie, no I don't know you. I'm very fond of Northern Wisconsin - have been going up there, around Boulder Junction, since I was a kid. I've been on the Manitowish River many times and like to search the web once in awhile for pics etc, of the river and lakes - and came across your blog. I've always wanted to settle there but could never quite figure out how to make a living Up North.

  6. Jim, I could email you about a 1000 pics! Work is hard to come by, I did just about everything under the sun, from owning my own house painting/caretaking company to bartending, waitressing, dog sitting, kid sitting (bleech), worked at a a gas station, etc.
